FMC Agricultural Solutions Adds Three to Its Marketing Team

Veteran marketers take on expanding FMC Ag Products portfolio.

PHILADELPHIA, May 11, 2017 – FMC Agricultural Solutions has added three team members to its marketing and communications team in Philadelphia. These new team members will support the FMC agricultural crop protection portfolio in the U.S. and Canada.

Christina Coen, Marketing Director

Christina Coen, a veteran agricultural marketer, has been named marketing director for the United States and Canada. Coen will have responsibility for the marketing of the FMC full agricultural portfolio including herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, plant health and new technology offerings.

“We are excited to have Christina lead our marketing team. She brings a breadth of crop protection expertise in product management, business development and market research,” says Amy O’Shea, vice president and business director for FMC Agricultural Solutions. “As FMC expands its pipeline of new synthetic and biological products and we move to commercialization, Christina will bring new perspective and strategic insights to our portfolio management and marketing.” In her new role, Coen will report to O’Shea.

Previously, Coen held a series of operations, marketing and licensing leadership positions at Dow AgroSciences and its parent company, The Dow Chemical Company. Most recently, Coen was North America crop protection project success leader for Dow AgroSciences, where she was a two-time Innovator Award recipient.

Coen has an MBA from Northwood University, Midland, Mich., and an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University, East Lansing.

Lisa Homer, Senior Communications Manager

FMC Agricultural Solutions has named accomplished agricultural communicator Lisa Homer as senior communications manager for the United States and Canada. In her new role, Homer will oversee marketing communications activities that support the full FMC agricultural portfolio in the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Homer has more than 20 years of marketing and advertising experience serving agricultural, pet and other markets. In addition to owning her own consulting business, Homer has worked with several marketing agencies and, most recently, was account director at Stephens & Associates Advertising Inc. This role marks a return to FMC for Homer, who served as the company’s promotions and interactive communications manager earlier in her career.

“Lisa is a talented marketing professional who will bring new insights to our marketing strategy and creative execution,” says Christina Coen, marketing director, U.S. and Canada. “We are excited to have her on the FMC team as we expand our portfolio and seek ways to enhance the value we provide our customers.”

Homer has a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism and related programs from Union College, Lincoln, Neb.

Julie Boss, Product Manager

Julie Boss has been named product manager for insecticides and new technology. In her new role, Boss will manage marketing programs and campaigns for the FMC insecticide portfolio as well as new technologies including the 3RIVE 3D™ application system.

Previously, Boss was an account manager for DuPont Crop Protection in the U.S. Eastern region. In her nearly five years at DuPont, Boss progressed through the company’s leadership and development program, holding positions in sales, marketing and project management.

“Julie brings a strong sales, marketing and crop protection background to this position. She will help grow our current brands as well as introduce several new FMC solutions currently in development,” says Rick Ekins, portfolio manager for insecticides, fungicides, plant health and new technology.

Boss has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., with concentrations in business management and communications.
