FMC Announces Stallion® Insecticide Registered for Use in California

PHILADELPHIA – August 3, 2012 – FMC recently announced that Stallion® insecticide has been registered for use in California. Stallion provides two modes of action allowing for quicker, more effective knockdown with longer residual than many other insecticides on the market. With 28 labeled insect pests, including alfalfa weevil and potato leafhopper, protection provided by Stallion improves yield, quality and plant stand longevity.

“Growers in California now have an insecticide that will provide unmatched broad spectrum control and potential increase of yields,” said Adam Prestegord, product manager, FMC Agricultural Products.

Stallion can be applied alone or in tank mixes with fungicides, post herbicides and foliar fertilizers, offering flexibility in application. Stallion is an effective choice for alfalfa, corn, cotton, sorghum, wheat, tree nuts and sunflowers. Stallion insecticide is available in 2.5 gallon, 15 gallon and 110 gallon containers.

“As a premix of two proven chemical classes, Stallion offers the right ratio and right rate, providing California growers with superior performance,” said Prestegord. “It also allows for convenient applications.”
