Authority® Assist

Tough broadleaf weed control with added grass assistance

University studies show that in the absence of an effective soil residual herbicide, early-season weed competition can begin to reduce soybean yields as early as 10 days after crop emergence. Research studies show that Authority® Assist herbicide is effective in providing control of weeds as a soil foundation program.

Authority Assist herbicide is a new premix product for soybeans. Combining multiple modes of action, it provides excellent control of glyphosate-resistant summer weeds like waterhemp, lambsquarters, nightshade, kochia, velvetleaf, Pennsylvania smartweed, morningglory, Venice mallow and many other broadleaves. It also offers good suppression of problem grasses like foxtails, fall panicum and nutsedges.

And, with its 4 lb per gallon SC formulation, Authority Assist has proven to be effective in no-till, minimum-till and conventional tillage systems using pre-plant surface, preemergence or preplant incorporated applications. Authority Assist has some foliar activity to provide burndown on emerged weeds. It offers a broader spectrum and excellent control when combined with 2,4-D, Rage™ D-Tech herbicide or glyphosate in no-till systems. Other features and benefits include:

  • Multiple modes of action to combat growing weed resistance issues
  • Control of glyphosate-resistant weeds
  • Soluble product to easily wash off residue for use in high-residue and limited-tillage operations
  • Flexible product chemistry, minimal pH restrictions for broad soil-type applications – low-risk carryover to corn
  • Excellent broadleaf weed spectrum that offers convenience of added grass control
  • Convenient liquid formulation
  • Adaptable for use in Roundup Ready® soybeans with low-cost grass herbicides on conventional soybean programs
