| Q. |
What is Hydro-Formulated Technology™ ?
|
| A. |
Hydro-Formulated
Technology, or HFT™, formulations are made by an innovative process
which delivers the active ingredient in submicron size. This improves
performance and product stability, so the effectiveness of Mustang is
less susceptible to variables in water hardness, temperature, pH or
tank residues. The process improves tank-mix compatibility and
eliminates the need for petroleum distillates, making Mustang less
likely to cause skin irritation. |
| |
| Q. |
What is the active ingredient?
|
| A. |
Mustang
contains zeta-cypermethrin, a highly recognized insecticide widely used
throughout the United States. Mustang is labeled for use on alfalfa,
corn, soybeans, wheat, sorghum, sugar beets and more than 60 vegetable
crops. |
| |
| Q. |
How will Mustang affect my yields? |
| A. |
When
you control damaging insect pests, one of the primary stresses to your
crop is eliminated. Insect control, weed control and a good fertility
program ensure that you've provided the best scenario for high yields. |
| |
| Q. |
How environmentally friendly is Mustang?
|
| A. |
Rates
of application are very low, so less chemical is introduced into the
environment. What's more, when used according to directions, the active
ingredient in Mustang has low potential risk to birds, earthworms,
mammals or people. As with any insecticide, label directions,
application precautions and requirements for worker and handler
protection must be followed carefully. |
| |
| Q. |
Will Mustang cause skin irritation?
|
| A. |
Unlike
other insecticides, Mustang doesn't use petroleum distillates to
deliver its active ingredient. That means Mustang won't burn or speckle
sensitive crops, and it's less likely than other products on the market
to irritate your skin. |
| |
| Q. |
Is Mustang expensive?
|
| A. |
No.
In fact, Mustang typically costs less per acre than other competitive
products. Plus, you get better insect control. That makes Mustang a
truly exceptional value. |
