Frequently Asked Questions

Q.
Is Furadan 4F really more convenient than granular insecticides?
A.
Absolutely. Switching to a liquid formulation provides many advantages: • No more granular hassles, like lugging 50-pound bags, calibrating and recalibrating insecticide boxes and exposure to granular insecticide dust. • Greater application accuracy. • Furadan 4F is compatible with most post herbicides, for one-pass insect and weed control. • Specially designed closed-system returnable U-Turn® containers substantially reduce the potential of exposure during mixing and loading. • Plus, there's no on-site storage of insecticide or container disposal. • No antagonistic or phyto problems with herbicides.

Q. Are there other advantages to a Post Plant corn insecticide?
A. Yes, Furadan 4F is applied when corn rootworms are starting to hatch. Unlike granulars, which have been in the ground for as long as eight weeks, Furadan 4F hasn't had time to degrade and lose its effectiveness. Plus, since you don't have to worry about putting down an insecticide at planting, you can plant more acres in a day.

Q. Is it really as effective as my granular insecticide?
A. University trials have demonstrated that Furadan 4F provides corn rootworm control equal to or better than granular insecticides applied at planting. The root rating of corn fields treated with Furadan 4F are consistently below three. What's more, Furadan 4F Post Plant insecticide-nematicide provides excellent crop safety for your corn.

Q. Does Furadan 4F cause any problems with Accent or Beacon?
A. No. It can be applied with any herbicide.

Q. What is Post Plant Application?
