FMC launches incentive program that maximizes growers' freedom and flexibility in crop protection choices

The FMC Freedom Pass program gives growers access to new crop protection technology without being tied to seed company incentive plans.

PHILADELPHIA, September 14, 2017 – FMC Agricultural Solutions is launching a new incentive program that gives growers more freedom and choice in the field. The program, called FMC Freedom Pass, started September 1, 2017, and is available to growers who purchase FMC crop protection products from an authorized retailer.

“The FMC Freedom Pass provides more value to growers,” said Matt Hancock, regional business manager with FMC Corporation. “We are changing the way growers think about rewards programs. We are going beyond the typical per-acre reward growers have come to expect and are providing them with performance assurances, product financing and access to new application technologies. FMC wants to support growers in making crop protection decisions independent of the seed they buy and reward them for those decisions.”

 

Four program pillars

 

FMC Freedom Pass integrates four pillars that enable freedom in the field. Those pillars are:

 

• Agronomic Rewards

• Product Financing1

• Performance Assurances

• Application Innovations.

 

Agronomic Rewards

 

FMC Freedom Pass is structured to provide growers best-use recommendations, including using overlapping residuals, rotating chemical groups, following correct label rates and usage guidelines and applying at the right time. FMC Freedom Pass also offers growers exclusive agronomic rewards for purchasing FMC crop protection products without being linked to the purchase of specific seed brands.

 

“This is the backbone of the new FMC Freedom Pass,” says Flavio Centola, portfolio manager for FMC. “Some companies focus on the cash back associated with purchasing products that work with specific seed traits, while giving limited agronomic recommendations. The FMC Freedom Pass program also gives growers financial incentives for FMC product purchases independently of the seed trait. That’s what Freedom stands for. It’s built around doing what is right for the field.”

 

Product Financing

 

FMC Freedom Pass Product Financing allows growers to pay for FMC herbicides, fungicides and insecticides after harvest. Available with a minimum purchase of just $5,000, this 0% financing frees up growers’ cash flow throughout the growing season. The program terms run from October 1, 2017, to July 31, 2018, with payment not due until December 31, 2018.

 

Performance Assurances

 

A number of FMC products are backed by performance assurance programs. While each one is slightly different, performance assurances ensure grower confidence and peace of mind because FMC stands behind the performance of its products in the field.

 

Application Innovations

 

As part of the FMC Freedom Pass program, growers can qualify for a FREE 3RIVE 3D® application system with a three-year product commitment. This unique at-plant delivery platform gives growers the freedom to farm faster, saving water, fuel, labor and time. Applicator commitment is due by February 28, 2018.

Christina Coen, FMC marketing director of the U.S. and Canada, says FMC Freedom Pass is all about honoring growers for making the best agronomic choices for their operations.
