FMC Welcomes Miller and Hustedde, Promotes Palumbo

1/31/2013

PHILADELPHIA – FMC Agricultural Products Group adds two new staff members and promotes one. Steve Miller has joined FMC North America Crop (NAC) as a strategic account executive, and Nick Hustedde has joined the NAC Technical Support Team. Ron Palumbo, an FMC employee for 36 years, has been promoted to strategic business specialist.

“The addition of Miller and Hustedde brings a wealth of crop protection knowledge to the FMC team as we continue to grow our NAC business,” said FMC NAC Marketing Director John Kasper. “Palumbo has been a great asset to our team over the years, and we are excited to welcome him into this new role.”

Miller started with FMC on Jan. 7. His focus includes managing the business relationship with Tenkoz Inc., the largest distribution entity for crop protection products in the United States. He also is responsible for the sales results from their southern and southeastern members. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Platteville with a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business. Miller’s previous work experience includes positions in sales, sales management and product management throughout 30 years in the ag industry. Most recently, Miller was the regional sales manager for Arysta LifeScience. He has also worked with Syngenta as a national sales manager for its professional products.

Also starting on Jan. 7, Hustedde will support the NAC technical support team, covering Illinois and Wisconsin. He received a Bachelor of Science in plant and soil sciences from Southern Illinois University (SIU). After work experience with Alvey Ag Research and Syngenta, Hustedde returned to SIU to earn a Master of Science in weed science. During this time, he worked as a graduate assistant. He most recently worked for Monsanto.

In a newly created position, Palumbo will be responsible for a sales territory in Northern Florida, with additional responsibilities for the tree fruit and vegetable segment in the southern region. He will build a three-year strategy focusing on developing markets, conducting segment-specific trainings, assessing market needs, coordinating new product launches and serving as a liaison to segment and marketing teams. He has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Murray State University and a Master of Science in Entomology from the University of Kentucky.

Palumbo has managed FMC territories in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. He is a multiple Bellringer Award recipient and has been named a Master Sales Representative twice.
